2. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by a website. There are also similar technologies (e.g., local storage, pixels, tags or device identifiers). Cookies can be technically necessary (e.g., to operate a website) or optional (e.g., for marketing, statistics, or loading external content).
3. Legal bases
In Germany, storing information on your device (and accessing it) is generally governed by the TTDSG. Technically necessary cookies may be used without consent if they are required to provide a service you explicitly request. For non-essential cookies/technologies, consent is generally required.
For any subsequent processing of personal data (e.g., IP address), the GDPR requirements also apply, in particular Art. 6 GDPR.
4. Which cookies do we set ourselves?
On this website, we use technically necessary session cookies. They are required for the website to function correctly (e.g., to maintain a session).
- Type: Session cookie
- Purpose: Technical provision of the website / session management
- Example: PHPSESSID (name may vary depending on server configuration)
- Storage period: Usually deleted after the end of the browser session
- Legal basis: TTDSG (technically required) in conjunction with Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in secure operation)
5. External content and third-party cookies
This website may include content and services from third-party providers. As soon as such content is loaded, your browser may connect to the third party’s servers. In doing so, personal data (e.g., IP address) may be transmitted. Third parties may also set or read cookies or similar technologies on your device.
6. YouTube
We embed videos from YouTube. When loading/playing a video, YouTube (Google) may set or read cookies and process data. This may also involve processing outside the EU/EEA.
- Service: YouTube (Google)
- Type: Third-party cookies / similar technologies possible
- Purpose: Display and playback of videos
- Legal basis: Usually consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) – technically recommended: load only after consent
7. Google Maps
We embed map material from Google Maps. When the map is loaded, a connection to Google may be established. Cookies may be set/read and data may be processed (including IP address).
- Service: Google Maps (Google)
- Type: Third-party cookies / similar technologies possible
- Purpose: Display of interactive maps
- Legal basis: Usually consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) – technically recommended: load only after consent
8. Social media embeds
This website may include content from social networks (e.g., Instagram/Facebook). When loading such content, data transfers and the use of cookies/similar technologies by the platforms may occur.
- Type: Third-party cookies / similar technologies possible
- Purpose: Display of social media content
- Legal basis: Usually consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) – technically recommended: load only after consent
9. Webfonts (Google Fonts) and icons (Font Awesome)
We use Google webfonts and Font Awesome. If these resources are loaded externally, a connection to the providers’ servers may be established. In particular, your IP address may be transmitted.
Cookies are not necessarily required for this, but data transfer to third parties is possible. A more privacy-friendly approach is local integration (hosting the fonts/icons on your own server).
10. Ticket & supporter shop (SumUp) and partner links
We use SumUp for ticket sales and the supporter shop. We also link to partner and provider websites (e.g., merch). When you click such links, you leave our website. From that point on, the cookie/privacy practices of the respective provider apply.
11. How can you disable cookies?
You can delete or block cookies via your browser settings. Please note that the functionality of the website may be limited if technically necessary cookies are disabled.
For third-party cookies: If you want to avoid external content, try not to visit pages/sections with embedded services (e.g., YouTube, Google Maps, social media) or use browser extensions/blockers. However, the cleanest technical approach is to load external content only after consent.
12. Changes to this cookie policy
We may update this cookie policy if the technologies used or legal requirements change. The current version on this website applies.
