Starting with the 2026 season, we will compete in the 1st Bundesliga of the GFL Women. This promotion is a major milestone for our club and a strong signal for women’s football in the north.
The developments of recent months have shown how much the structure of women’s football is changing. We are consciously responding to this dynamic and embracing the next challenge:
From now on, we will be playing 11-on-11 football instead of 9-on-9.
We are taking this path together with our partners, the Lüneburg Razorbacks. Through this close cooperation, we are creating a stable foundation and offering players sustainable development opportunities at the highest level.
This new beginning is supported by our new Head Coach, Christian Buchholz, who plays a central role in our sporting direction with over 33 years of football experience and international expertise.
For us, this promotion means far more than just moving up a league: It is a statement. A commitment to professionalism, development, and genuine growth in women’s football.
