<h2 style="color:#000000 !important;">Our Debut Season in the GFL Women is Wrapped!</h2><p style="color:#000000 !important;">Our goal for this year was clear: we wanted to compete on equal footing with the other promoted teams – and we definitely achieved that! Even though a few wins slipped through our fingers by the narrowest of margins, our final game against the Berlin Kobra Ladies showed that as underdogs, we are never to be underestimated.</p><p style="color:#000000 !important;">Now the work in the offseason begins. We will use this time to bring home our first GFL Women win next season. <p>It’s official: 2026 marks our very first season in the GFL Women – and we’re ready for it. New league, higher level, bigger stage. Here’s a look at the teams we’ll face in our debut season: <p> Hannover Grizzlies<br> Familiar opponents. We already know the Grizzlies from the GFL Women 2 and from previous seasons. There’s history there – and that always brings intensity. <p> Hamburg Amazons<br> We’ve shared scrimmages with the Amazons before, so we know what they bring to the field. That makes this matchup even more exciting. <p> Schwäbisch Hall Unicorns <br>A true highlight: an interconference away game. New opponent, new environment, new challenge. We’re ready to travel and compete. <p> Berlin Cobra Ladies<br> Another interconference matchup, but this time at home. Bremen Venom is taking the next big step:<br> Starting with the 2026 season, we will compete in the 1st Bundesliga of the GFL Women. This promotion is a major milestone for our club and a strong signal for women’s football in the north.<p> The developments of recent months have shown how much the structure of women’s football is changing. We are consciously responding to this dynamic and embracing the next challenge:<br> From now on, we will be playing 11-on-11 football instead of 9-on-9. <p> We are taking this path together with our partners, the Lüneburg Razorbacks. Through this close cooperation, we are creating a stable foundation and offering players sustainable development opportunities at the highest level. <p> This new beginning is supported by our new Head Coach, Christian Buchholz, who plays a central role in our sporting direction with over 33 years of football experience and international expertise. <p> For us, this promotion means far more than just moving up a league: It is a statement. A commitment to professionalism, development, and genuine growth in women’s football. <p> We are looking forward to the upcoming challenges and to opening a new chapter together with You. <p> Bremen Venom – Unleashed in the GFL Women.

We are excited to announce a groundbreaking decision for the upcoming season:<br> Christian Buchholz will become the new Head Coach of Bremen Venom. <p> With over 33 years of experience in American football, Christian brings an impressive combination of player and coaching expertise. He spent roughly half of his career actively on the field, where he played almost every position – with the exception of quarterback. The other half he dedicated to coaching and developing players at the highest level. <p> Christian is originally from Bremen, but his football knowledge extends far beyond national borders. He regularly travels to the USA to further his education as a walk-on coach within college programs. This international perspective, combined with decades of experience, makes him an exceptionally strong leader. <p> A special milestone in his career:<br> Bremen Venom is the first all-female team in his coaching résumé. A decision he makes with full conviction – and one that demonstrates how seriously he takes the development of women’s football in the north. <p> With Christian by our side, we are sending a clear message for the future: professionalism, passion, and the determination to take the next step together. <p> We warmly welcome You, Christian – and look forward to a strong season with You at the helm.
